OMP Edge is done and flown... !!
Well I finally finished and flew it. The kit went together really well and seems pretty light. I am going to try to weigh it at the post office tonight...
As for flying...awesome. This is my first profile but this thing is really fun to fly. It seems to hover really nice. I have never owned a plane that had the attributes necessary to hover so my experience is obviously limited, but you just point the nose up and it seems to do all the hard work.
I had two dead sticks due to a hole in the fuel line between my needle and carb. They were non-issues; this thing just wont stop flying. I landed way long on my first one since I was worried about coming up short.
My setup:
Built dead stock with the included gear.
O.S. 46FX w/ TowerHobbies muffler. (Haven't compared RPM to stock, so I don't know the gains, if any.)
APC 12.25X3.75
Hitec 425 BB all around.
Finished with Monokote.
I was able to balance with the 46 a 1/4" back from the front of the fuse. With that location I can move the battery pack to adjust as I wring it out.
I may have to order another one in case the unthinkable happens.
Go buy one now,
Scott.

Thanks guys.
I weighed it at what is now the "UPS Store"... 4.36 pounds which sounds a little heavy compared to others. I must use a bunch of glue or something. Those of you that have a 4 pound edge, did you deviate from the plans/instructions to get it lighter?
I have some Hanger9 Edge decals on back order, until then I'll just have to keep a close eye on which end is up, without the stickers top and bottom are very similar.
Thanks,
Scott.

Great Job!
That looks awesome duuude!!! Great Job!!
Some of the 4lb edges are using Hitec 225's... lots of torque.. and .65 oz lighter.... They just fail pretty frequently... Usually the motor or the pot quits....
