Default saito 72 problem

I had a saito 72 I put on a morris top cap. I reversed the carb to accommodate the throttle pushrod. On the forth flight I had a dead stick landing. When I got to the plane the carborator mount had BROKE off the rear cover. All the screws were tight. Has anybody else had this problem?

The engine ran fine when I hade it on another plane with the carb the right way.

Weird, I had mine reversed for the same reason you have had and have never had a problem.

Definately send it back and ask for a replacement

That is exactly what happened! Thanks for the link.

It does not look like there is anything you can do to prevent this from happening. I have the new back plate on order.
