OMP Edge has arrived!!!!
OH WOW!!!
Just got home and saw the box. Plain brown box, no frills here but it
is longer then a normal kit. Opened it up and all the wood is packed
with care and so far looks of very good quality. Unrolled the plans,
and the first thing I notice is I am going to have to go get another
sheet of ceiling tile cause these wings are about 6 to 8 inches
deeper in the cord then I was prepared for. Now to tear off the CD
taped to the box and go see what its about........
This CD idea is worth its weight in gold, the entire manual on CD
ROM, well I am currently printing it all including BLOW UPS of all
the pictures and putting it all in order for my first read thru. I
expect to begin building this weekend or as soon as I drive to the
hardware store for the piece of tile. More to come if you guys are
interested. You tell me, but so far I am likeing the way OMP has their sh%# together.
How many want to see build progress with photos? Anyone??

ME!! ME!!
I would really like to see it. There might have been an OMP 540 construction article on here, but if there was it was before my interest was piqued. I say, "Go for it!"

OMP edge 540
I got one of the 0MP Edge 540's about a month
ago. I like all the talk about the 540 on RCU. I
am going to make the Wing’s removable with a
3/4” tube. I too like the CD idea. A good way to
see more. I am interested in seeing more. Go for it.

OMP Edge has arrived!!!!
How about a close up of the rear servos and how you ran the wires???
Im a little curious how people are getting the servo wires into the "wire tunnel" up to the receiver.

OMP EDGE 540
I did not read you post over real well, but I just test flew my .40 size two weeks ago and absolutely love it. I have been into 35 to 40% planes for the last two years and when I got ahold of this thing it was awesome for a little profile. My first flight with it I was doing harriers and touching the tail like I had been doing it for years. Can you tell I am excited? I love it and that is why I ordered the giant EDGE profile also, I can't wait to get it done!
I balanced the .40 size 2 inches back from the main spar like it says in the instructions. That is were I will leave it, because it is very stable there. almost like a giant scale plane. It's hard to believe but wait till you fly it. I must give OMP a big pat on the back, they did their homework on this one.

Edge540Driver,
Why did you use the term driver and not flyer? is it because the plane flies so perfectly that it is more like driving it around the sky than flying it?
