Vote! Which plane should I get?
Which plane should I get? I like all of them but don't know which one flys the best. I have not flown any of them so I don't know what thier tendencies are. The choices are:
Top CAP
Sledge
Su-du-khoi
Extreme 330(or other)

I have flown the TC, Sledge, and Su-Do. ALL are great planes.
Where are you at with 3D?
If your just getting started any of them would be fine. You wont be able to tell the minor differences in them while learning 3D.
If your farther advanced I'd say get the Sledge.
I have seen an Extreme 330 fly and it looked like a nice plane. Never flown one though.

I think most people are just going to vote for what they own or have flown...Not really a fair question unless you ask someone who has flown all of them, like Wayne.
I think anyone you ask that has flown all of them will tell you the Sledge is the best...
Even if a 3D newbie won't be able to see the difference, it's not going to hurt to go with the Sledge. In the long run, I think you will be better off.

I have not flown 3d at all, and it will be my second plane. I know fun fly planes like these have very stable tendencies when set up with low rates. I do want one that is going to be able to do everything I want it too in the future.

Definitely get a QHOR!
Much cheaper learning curve.

I have the 330 Extreme, and mine is heavier than I'd like. That's the trouble with ARF's, you're not able to build light.
I haven't flown any of the other planes you mentioned, but I'd suggest you go with a kit and pay attention to weight as you build.

Oh, I thought that you could get the extreme as a kit, oh well, the other three then. I dont want a pqhor as my main plane, but I am planning on building one in the future. I want a built up one for this choice.

Blackhawk3D, since you are just getting into 3D, I would go with the knife, and then after a summer wearing that thing out, go for the sledge. I am not a top cap fan or an extreme 330 fan, and I have flown all of those planes. Jeff W.

Mike Bogh,
I voted for the Sudokhoi as I love mine, but I can see why you said PQHOR when I saw Jason's video. After I got the look off my face, all I could say was WOW. Me must get.......

I too, have the Morris Sudokhoi, and have really enjoyed it the last year. I have had a YS 45 on it, perect match, for me.
Still, there is the whole emotional and finacial investment which prevents me from trying to hover it down on the deck.
Ergo, the QHOR...

Top cap, too tail sensitive, resulting in instability, good at tumbles and spins though. I just do not like unstable planes and that is the reason I am not warm on the top cap. Jeff W.

Okay, why shouldn't I just get the sledge first, if the knife would be better I would get it, but I don't like how it looks very much. I could probably make it look better (I am doing a kit) but I really like the looks of the Sledge. Is it too much plane? Not easy enough to fly on low rates, I really like the looks of it.

JWilliams, I was asking your opinion mainly, but anyone else can post too. It is now between the knife and the Sledge.

The Sledge will be fine..it might be capable of more radical manuevers than the others, but it's not hard to fly. I know..I have one and am not capable of more radical manuevers, but I fly it just fine

okay, I didn't mean it that way but I assume you are kidding. I just meant that I wanted to hear what he had to say. I will probably get the sledge but I am a slow buyer.
