Default What prop for my Irvine .25 and .53??

I was planning on using an APC 12.25 x 3.75 on the .53 but the range Irvine gives is MUCH more aggressive (12 x 6, etc.). Any advice?

Also, with the .25, I have an 8 x 6 on it (I didn't have anything else). What would be a good replacement for that? Thanks,

Dan

I use a APC 12.25X3.75 on my .53.. a 12X4 is good also.

On the .25 I have always run MA 9X4's, but that was combat. I'd think for a fun fly it would still be a good choice. I know at Houston somebody was wanting one and I had about 25 of them..in a cigar box I'd taken out of the truck before I left home LOL

I like the 9x5 apc for my Irvine .25... I tried making a 9.5 x 4 out of a 10 x 4 wood, but I didn't really like it... I might rework that prop... thin it out a little more.

I like the 12 x 4 apc, 12.25 x 3.75 apc, 11.5 x 4 apc on my Irvine .53.. All depends on my mood...

Maiden flight of my Taco on Irv 25 with 9 x 4 APC was spot on. Unfortunatley at my UK club the noise limit is 80db from 6 attitudes ! It came it at 83db from below so had to go to a 10 x 8 (or something similar and not APC). It flew like a pig with it. No fun at all. 10 x 5 APC next weekend for a compromise.

Wow.... what a drag... I've never flown at a club with a noise limit... must be rough.... Have you tried the 9 x 5 apc?

Can't say I have Paul - I'm gonna splash out on a few APCs around that size. I tend to get through them Thanks.

I run an apc 10x4 on my o.s. .25fx 15 sized Fred Reese ultimate bipe, and it works great.
