On Board Glow Starters
Why not just install your battery with a switch and leave the glow on for the duration of the flight? Many of the on board glow starters have a switch or circuitry that turns the glow off when the throttle position is somewhere above idle - and this is the cause of radio glitching when you're at the on-off spot.
Some fellows use an alkaline c cell which lasts for several flights. I use a 1700 mah nicad and charge overnight along with the radio batteries.
