I finally got the stud out of my engine after it broke off. Where can I get another one? Do they put the prop studs in these engines because they prevent the crank from getting bent? Is this why you see so many of these engines in combat planes?

while installing the first prop on mine on the pbf the stud snapped. I found hardened replacements at ACE Hardware. metric of course 1mmx1.50 I think, if remember correctly. BAD ANDY

Glad it helped buddy. It is quicker than trying to order one. And yes I have had to drill out hardened bolts before and you can do all the rest of them for me.. Have a good one, BAD ANDY

Yep...a lot of combat pilots fly the Norvels...and the stud breaks before more serios damage happens. I get 6mm hex head bolts, and just "bolt" the prop back on
