Spazzler vs. ARFs
Has anyone flown both a Spazzler and ARF types like the Funtana, Edge, 330 etc. and how do they compare? I was going to build a Spazzler but got caught up in the Funtana excitement. You know what happens to all balsa planes eventually.

Spazzler vs. ARFs
If you gota get up in the air fast go with the ARF If you have a little time build it. I have seen these Morris ARFs and hanger 9 stuff.
It is all pretty good.

Spazzler vs. ARFs
If you're talking about the SPAD Dazzler/Uproar clone vs. something like a Morris or profile CG ARFs, you'll be disappointed in the plastic planes performance. I have a built up (wood) Uproar and it doesn't compare to my Morris balsa ARFs. You'd need to build the rudder 2x the size of stock in order to get a Spazzler to knife edge 1/2 as good as say a Morris the Knife. I still like flying my Uproar on occasion, but it's in a different league.
I've also heard that the Spazzler comes out a little bit heavier than a balsa/ply kit (not ARF) made Dazzler or Uproar, so you'd need at least a 46 for unlimited vertical. My Uproar is built pretty light and has unlimited vertical using a TT Pro-36 and 11x3 prop.
