Giant Sudokhoi maiden (+flicks)
I took the Morris Giant Sudokhoi to the field for the first time today and had four decent flights. I need to adjust the pull-pull tension because I'm not getting absolute centering (the cables are a bit too tight).
Here are some initial flicks from today's maiden activities:

Gator,
Get ready for building hell. I'd employ a handful of cheap laborers to help with the egg-crate fuse constructon... and another aeronautically inclined individual to re-engineer the plans. Oh yea, Robert is slowly re-vamping the plans.
I'm using a Saito 180 which will hover this beast at 1/2 throttle. For servos, I'm using four hitec 605 servos on the wings, two 605s for the elevator and a 645 for the rudder. I'll give you a more detailed flying report in a few weeks. I'll try to get a bunch more flights tomorrow/next weekend.
Robert (at Morris) apparently is coming out with 120-size profile ARFs. I'd go that route.
Yours,
Juhan

If I can remember properly, with all the equipment and frame separately weighed, it came in around 12.2 pounds. I'd say now it's closer to 12.6 pounds tops.

Gator,
my brother is running a OS160 and moosecan on his Giant OMP edge, Hovers reall well with a 20x? prop. and the motor isn't broke in yet.
don't foget that Keith from Wilsonhobbies is running a OS 160 andmoosecan on his 80" aeroworks Profile kit. I think he said his was coming in at 12lbs. and his look like it hovers with ease.
here is a picture of his 80"OMP edge. its covered like his 35% carden edge. My knife is in the back ground. I think he is running JR 4721 on everything except rudder. rudder has JR8411 digital. Great flying plane. But he said its heck to build.
I am thinking of building 1 of these this winter.
