i just dont get how a elevator pull pull would work without the servo being mounted sideways???

Shortman, Look at the fuselage pic above. The two wire connection is the rudder. The 4 wire connection is the elevator. All 4 wires come together inside the fuse near the wing. The wires work just as a pushrod works with a servo mounted upright. As long as there isnt a severe bend in them, they move according to the geometry of the motion of the servo. Just look at it as a rudder p/p on its side at the surface, and normal at the servo. There is absolutely no slop in this arrangement, and it does allow you the ability to still have some elevator control in the event of one wire breaking. The 4 wire method only works on split elevators. It would be overkill to have it on a single surface elevator.

150 yard spool isn't that expensive and ya don't have to worry about inteference..comes in a lot of different poundage.
Works great for tail struts, pull pull, etc..

How do you connect the wire to clevis to servo?

I take a pushrod and cut off the threaded end and make a small loop in it and then just thread it right into the clevis........

The lightest way to do pull-pull is with the least amount of hardware. I use K&S #49 Kevlar from Tower Hobbies. It costs 2.69 for about 100 ft. I tie it directly through the servo horn and secure it with a drop of CA. On the rudder end I used a short peice of 2 56 rod with a loop in the end like jmulder. Very strong and light and CHEAP.

Does this hold well Razor Sharp? To me it would seem safer to just use a clevis or something. Have you had any problems with your setup?

I looke around today in walmart, sporting stores to get a crimping tool, steel leader and sleeves. No luck!
Does anybody know where I can get this stuff in the area of Princeton? Otherwise I need to mailorder - any sugestions?

The further you go inland, the harder its going to be to find this stuff at walmart. Bass Pro shops, like Paul Said, is going to be a good bet. You could even call a local fishing tackle shop in your town and ask them. You'd stay local, and keep a small businessman afloat.
