Default Idle

I have a 1300R in a PA F-16. Runs like a race horse!!! The idle is too high to make a smooth slow landing..can it be turned down from the default 40k?

Hi Tom,

A few have asked this question, as did I initially. 40K is the minimum idle speed for this motor, but the thrust may not be as high as you think. The thrust curve is largely parabolic, gaining strength as it nears the top end. If a good quality thrust gage were used, I doubt the thrust differential at 35K vs. 40K would be more than a few ounces. I know that's probably not the answer you were looking for but 40K appears to be what PST is happy running the motor at for the best reliability and performance.
