Default YS 140 in a SIG CAP 231 EX??

I have a SIG CAP 231 EX kit sitting in my workshop but the only spare engine I have to use is a YS 140FZ. Has anyone tried this combo and if so how does it go. I am a bit concerned that is under powered. I do fly a bit of 3D but prefer F3A syle flying. My only other option is to remove my ST 2300 from another plane to use??. Any suggestions apreciated

Default RE: YS 140 in a SIG CAP 231 EX??

I had that motor in the Hanger 9 Cap 232 a few years ago ( when they had the Matt Chapman Scheme) & it was a perfect match. I believe the Sig is the same size model, so it should perform just as well. I used it for my IMAC plane & the only downfall was it cost a fortune in glow fuel to fly it for that season. If its the same model i'm thinking of you will have unlimited verticle performance. I cant provide any more details than this, because i eventually sold the plane & moved on to gassers.......Gene
