Default Picking my saito engine in a rascal 40

what size would be good for a rascal 40. I'm getting a Saito and was wondering if a FA-62 A would be to much power, i do want to overpower it just a little but not enough to fold the wings in two.

TOO OVERPOWERED, there is no such thing, as that is what the throttle stick is for. A Saito 62 should work very well in the rascal. I think with that engine you would only be a little overpowered by your standard. Power and alttitude are your friend.

I fly mine on a Saito 45 so a 62 should be brutal.

I had the Magnum 52 4 stroke in mine, perfect power, but even so, a tight fit in the plane. There is not a lot of room in there. If the .62 is what you have and don't want to spend for another engine, go ahead and see if you can shoe horn it in. As for wanting to "overpower" the Rascal, I'm guessing you have no experience with one. It flies on the wing, very well, overpowering it is not an improvement. Best of luck with this fine plane.
