My question is, can I use a RCEXL Mini Tachometer with a Zenoah electronic
ignition module? I ask this because I have one hooked up and I get a con-
tinuous cycling of the led display, from 0 to 3 or 4 thousand rpms. This is
just turning on the device. I have one hooked up to a dle ignition module
and it works just fine. When it comes on it cycles through the numbers once
and then stands steady at zero until the engine is started. Is it compatible, does
anyone have pictures of this particular setup? Thanks, Aframe2

The digital RPM units are not much help anyway. Go by how your airplane flies and your ear for Idle. Try different props...use the ones that work the best....what else is really needed? Capt,n

I find them a great help when tuning an engine before flight. I have used that cool little tach on a DLE 30 and found it very accurate and stable. However, I have the same question as scale. If you know how to hook one up to other ignitions please share.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I have a rcexl mini- tach hooked to a rcexl ignition and it works fine. I have
another rcexl mini-tach that I hooked up to a Zenoah ignition module that continuously
cycles numbers. My question is, is the Rcexl mini-tach compatible with a Zenoah ignition
module? Aframe2

I can't answer your question about the Zenoah, but I have several of the Rcxel tachs and they are hit and miss
as far as working great, and not working so great.
It seems like it's the luck of the draw with them.
You should do a search to find more about those of us that have mixed results.
I agree that it's a great help when it works though.
The point of all that is that if you have't already done this, try the good tach on the Zenoah to
see if it makes any difference?
Good luck
Bob
