Default Eagle 2 ARF & 4 Stroke Engine

A product ordering web site has a technical note section that advises that the Eagle 2 ARF doesn't recommend using a 4 stroke engine with the Eagle 2 ARF. Another site (for an Eagle 2 KIT) has 2 stroke and 4 stroke engine sizes recommended. Does anyone know why the tech. notes would say to NOT use a 4 stroke engine with the Eagle 2 ARF and recommend a 4 stroke for the KIT version?
Thanks,
elad

I don't know about the ARF as I don't do ARF's but I have built the kit version of the eagle II. It goes together very easily and runs well on the O.S. 40 fp that I have. I put a os 46 fx on it once and that gave it a lot more power. This plane does not really need a 4 stroke for performance. I would not bother with a 4 stroke on this plane unless you just happened to have one that needed a new home.

Thank you for the reply and good information.
I understand all you're saying about the power needs of the Eagle 2.
The main reason I want to use the 4 stroke is that 2 stroke engines make me nervous when I'm close enough to tune them.
Since I've been getting flying instructions on an Eagle 2 that has a muffler on its 2 stroke .46, I think I might stand the high pitch sound long enough to tune it.
But, hoping for a more relaxing day of flying calls for me to try using a 4 stroke unless it would cause premature damage to the plane.
Also, if I get a large enough 4 stroke engine now that won't drastically over power the Eagle 2 I can transplant it into a plane that has higher power needs later on.
Thanks again.
