Default Futaba 10CG radio

I am looking at buying a Futaba 10 CGH radio. it is on sale and my local hobbyshop says it is the same as the aircraft model except for the ratcheting throttle. Does anyone know if this is true? Will it still have elevon, T-tail etc etc? I have tried to download the manual but no joy. I know I can look at the manual at the LHS but I am worried that my wife may get it for me as a late Xmas gift on the downlow to surprise me before I can make sure it is what I need.

Calvi,

I'm pretty certain the Heli and Acro (A and H) versions share the same software, so menus and such are identical. Take this with a grain of salt as I don't fly helis, but the only differences should be the throttle ratchet and the switches (trainer switches on opposite sides, etc).

The manual is at futabarc.com -- look for Support, then look for manuals and you'll find it.

Regards,
ken

Thanks Ken,

I couldn't seem to open any of the manuals from the futaba website yesterday, I will give it another go today.

The 10CAG and the 10CHG have identical software. The only differences are some switch positions and the throttle ratchet (the heli is smooth).

If you have difficulty downloading the manual, right-click and choose the save option. You'll then be able to read it once it's downloaded.

Got back from an out of town visit and no supprise radio waiting for me. I went down to the LHS yesterday to confirm that the "H" model has the aircraft software in it. The more experienced staff were busy so myself and the new kid played with the radio until we stumbled onto the "Basic airplane" programing, then after a bunch of try this, try that got into the "advanced" options. Good enough, I put some more money down on it to get it at the sale price. Thanks for the advice guys.

Now I can use my 6EX for a buddy box and with the new radio will be able to use the built in timer for flights instead of a kitchen timer hanging off the radio. I was dismayed when I picked up a basic 4 channel buddy box only to realize than any expo, travel limits etc did not go through the buddy box. Now I can set it up so any of my aircraft can be flown with the trainer cord.

Calvi
