Check at your LHS and see if they have a smaller diameter tubing that will still fit. Otherwise, you can try pulling the brass feed tube out of the tank slightly to give the silicone more room to flex, or finally, you could add weight to the clunk

Does the clunk go to the back of the tank? It sounds like your brass tube is too long. Pull it out a little. If the clunk is at the back of the tank and hanging in the air, go buy more tubing and reassemble the tank with less brass and more fuel tubing.

I tried new tubeing and i took as much off the inlet pipe as i can. I also filled the tank up with fuel and left it for a week and it it still the same. The tube is only about 3cm long inside the tank. I cannot ad weight to the clunk because it only just fits through the hole in the tank.

I too had the same problem with a 4 oz. tank. Also had trouble with the klunk doubling forward and sticking forward on a hard landing (with my pbf). here's how I solved both problems.
Take a medium sized nylon zip tie and cut out the middle 2-3" then put a 45 degree bend in the nylon tie about half way. Zip tie this "nylon insert" to the klunk and to the front inlet nipple so that the 45 degree bend forces the klunk to the bottom of the tank. This will keep the klunk forced down in the tank, but also limits the movement either left or right.
Hope this works ?

if i ad solder to the line it wont fit in. I could just put a bend on some brass tube and put it in the line so that it went to the bottom of the tank. This would be ok until i turned upside down but i dont think i would be doing much of this in my little SE5A. ANY COMENTS?

Hi,
Try Sullivan (P/N S201) 1/2A Glow fuel line. It will fit up to .60 size applications and it is veeeery flexible. You can buy it in 3' lengths - I use it and have had no problems.
