Default Covering a Turtledeck

How do yall cover the T/D..Do you go length wise from front to back or do you go from one bottom edge, over the top to the other bottom edge?? Doing a Patriot and just asking before I get started.

Thanx

I go front to back. Tack down at the top and pull down on both sides. Finish at the bottom. Use one piece if you can.

Hope this helps.

For a solid T/D, I go from the top middle towards the back, then from the top middle towards the front. Then go from top to bottom.

If the T/D has stringers, I tack 3-4 places along the top, then 3-4 places at bottom. When satisfied with results (as few wrinkles as possible), I seal all edges, then use gun to shrink material. A word of caution; if the stringers are not real stout, the shrinking process can deform them. Watch them closely!

I lay it on, and tack it down along the entire top. Then I lay one side down, and tack it at the bottom, and around the sides, then do the same to the other side. Once it is completely tacked down, I seal all of the edges. Finally, apply a heat gun to shrink it all in place while rubbing it with a gloved hand.
