I had just got done building a Carl Goldberg extreme 330. I have installed a tower hobbies .46 ball bearing motor. This is the most powerful .46 size motor I have come across. I want to have the plane to perform some 3D maneuvers. I have a 12x5 zinger prop in it. It still seems to have a pretty good high speed but maybe a little bogged down when trying to hold a hover or in a harrier attitude. it's understood that the motor has about three tanks of fuel through it and may need to be broken in yet. But my question is out of your experience with planes what would be a better prop selection for this setup ? would a 11x 4 be better or should I use maybe a 12x4 ? I also want to be careful not to over rev the motor. your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You could try 12x4 or 12.25x3.75 Different prop brands differ in the air, so trial and error on different prop/aircraft combos

Another good prop to try is the APC 11.5-4. It is a wide blade like the 12.25-3.75. It revs a bit more and it does not have the toatl thrust of the longer props, but with a fairly light plane, you can play the throttle a lot without the plane jumping all over the place. i am using one on the GMS on my Heckler and I like the fact that it gives me a wide lattitude of throttle stick movement.
