I beleive 'Expert' brand are a 'Futaba no name private lable' part. Meaning, their made by Futaba, but are labeled as 'Expert'. Just like how Kraft make 'KD' but also box the stuff in other people's boxes, like 'PC' or teh local grocery store chain..

Rumour has it, that Hitec are also 'Futaba' parts with another name..

Someone, correct me, prove me wrong, put this rumor to rest!

Futaba and Hitec don't share components, but I can confirm that Tower Hobbies "System 2000" line of servo are made by Futaba and that the System 3000" line is made by Hitec.

I only have one Expert servo....an SL571 on the elevator of my Funtana 40.....seems like a very good blend of torque and speed, at an extremely reasonable price. I won't hesitate to get more.

My sources tell me that EXperts are JR. They use JR aftermarket arms. I have many of them and are as reliable as futaba or JR. Their standard hitorque is only $17.99 and pushes over 60 ounces. They aren't really that fast, but accept 6V NIMH well and you get more speed and torgue with the voltage increase. Thier mid sized servo is super on fun flies and small 3D planes and put out more than 50 ounces. I highly recommend them to everyone. I stripped some gears by banging large surfaces when loading or unloading and gear sets were only $5.95 for two sets of gears. If the specs work for you, try a couple out, you won't regret it.
