Default Covering cowling?

I plan on covering my ultra sport in flourescent covering ,but I can't find paint to match. Is it possible to use the covering on the cowling, would it shrink enough?Has anyone done it?How did it look?

I covered the plastic cowl on a Goldberg Chipmunk with monokote. It looked fine, BUT was not easy.

If you want paint to match the flourescent, your best bet is an automotive shop. Bring in a sample and have them mix it for you. Get the base coat/clear coat setup. BEWARE, IT WILL NOT BE CHEAP !!

I covered my cowl (fiberglass) with monokote, cause I couldn't even get a paint match from a paint store. Go slow, and be carefull with the heat. Plastic may not work under heat... Here's a pic of my cowl....

Thanks all, for those that used mono/ultra cote.Did you apply then apply heat to remove wrinkles or use heat to stretch the covering over the compound curves?
