Hello all
I just wanted to get some feedback on what maybe the best hinges
to use? I have only used CA hinges that came with the ARF kit.. I've
had little problems except with my 4*60 my second plane. It came to
life about 7 months ago, and I do fly it quite a bit.. I hover, K.E. and
now working on rolling circles quite a bit.. None has pulled out, but all
split/cracked at the center of the hinge.. The rudder hinges was the
first to go it happened after landing it would have completely fall off
except for the control rod... Then my Rt. aileron closes to the wing tip,
I found on preflight checks. And now the Lt. aileron, closes to the fuse
was split, found it while wiping the plane off yesterday... I've replaced
both Ailerons with CA hinges. And used swivel hinges for the rudder, I
also moved the tailwheel to the fuse.. I installed with a pin in the center
of the hinge so as to keep it centered and to have a slight gap...

Most people don't have the problems you are referring to with ca hinges although you are not alone, some people have. One thing to check is that the control surface hinges are perfectly level and in line. If one ore two are not perfectly horizontal to the others, you get a tearing action everytime the surface moves (if that makes sense).
I fly mostly jets, and I use robart hinges on them. I am never satsified until I can pull my control surface with all my might and it stays. If it pulls out under full load of me pulling, it's not a good install (FWIW).

Thanks for the reply.. Well they did look centered, and basicly no
binding.. It was as Sig cut them... I do use the "pull" all of my
control surfaces on my pre-flight checks...
