fuel tank
im running a 4 oz. fuel tank for a 1/12th scale model with .15 engine...and the tank has 1 main opening which the insert with o-ring goes in and has the clunk on it, the other line is a input line from muffler. Then i have 1 opening nipple open on my tank that Im not sure what to do with?..can it be used for refilling tank?..or if not..which line do i use to refill..and does it need to be plugged after tank is full and motor is running or does it serve as a vent?.....and 1 more option can be used for an over flow...
also when i set tank in plane the way ii want it set up when im flying, my muffler intake line is on the bottom, and it leaks or pours the wrong way into muffler....noticed after i tried to start it and shot fuel all over my brand mew covering and paint job on the wing....any ideals on how i can run the tank and/or the fuel lines.....

RE: fuel tank
The third line (usually plugged) is a fill line for cowled engines. If your engine is uncowled, and the carb line is easy to get to, use that to fill/empty and leave the third line plugged. Second question sounds like your vent line is not in the small bubble on the top of the fuel tank.

RE: fuel tank
If the tank is like this one, it has to be positioned so the muffler pressure nipple (top one in the photo) is at the top. This is a Hayes tank. Great Planes tanks have thesame nipple arrangement. The middle nipple has to be drilled open if you want to use it for filling the tank, and you plug the fill line after filling.
