Default Plastic Wheel Pants

I have a set of plastic wheel pants. I need help on how to join these and re-enforce them so they will last?

Thanks

I assembled a set last week. I CA'd the sides together, then took a Dremel and opened them up for the wheels. Once they were opened up, I ran CA along the glue joint. From there, I reinforced the inside of the joint with glass cloth.

On the outside you will have a ridge where the parts are joined. I used automotive spot putty to blend this in, and sanded it smooth.

You should also consider providing a mounting point for both sides of the wheel pant so the pant does not flex from side to side. This is done by using brackets which attach to the pant on both sides of the wheel.
