split elevator
Am using a split elev on a 1/4 scale stick with 3004 bb servos. The guys at the field say to use two servos tied in with a y connector. There are two ways to run it. Either a reverser or use a Futaba servo on one side & a hitech on the other since hitech runs reverse from futaba. The question is what hitech servo is compatible to a 3004 futaba servo. Any ideas will be helpfull

RE: split elevator
I would use the reverser or a reversed 3004 servo. I don't think using two different brands of servos is the best idea. Under a load one is bound to be stronger than the other. This will corkscrew your plane into the ground IMHO.
The Expert brand servo reversing Y is only $15 or so.

Several manufacturers of split elevator ARFS recommend installing the servos this way.

RE: split elevator
Geistware, am using a Futaba T6exa trans & Fp-r127df rec. I guess the best thing to due is turn one servo upside down. That way the speed & torque will be the same.

RE: split elevator
I would recommend that you use one futaba and one JR servo.
They turn in opposite directions so you will not need a reverser.
