Has anyone taken the time to write down or remember the specials at TH? Some discounts are better than others at different times, also notice sometimes the high/low $ orders seem to be favored? It's kinda silly the way they make you play games w/ what you order. I am getting ready to buy a new heli radio (9C) w/ digi servo and OS Hyper 50 engine, $1100 worth of stuff, but will order it on 3 or 4 separate charges to get the most discount....games.

I haven't made note of a full cycle yet, but I noticed that some of the best discounts were last fall, nearing Christmas, and then the period after Christmas. The most recent discounts have not been as good. It appears spring is not the best time to buy.
Not sure if you're a member of the super saver club or not, but if you're going to place 3 or 4 orders, it'd be worth considering. Over the last year I've saved quite a bit on shipping. I've also taken advantage of quite a few of the free items from the coupon book. The freebies alone have paid for the price of the club.

I am in the SSC, yes, it's worth it and I actually order stuff for others who are not. There has to be some sorta pattern though, just remembering, the best % off I have seen is 15%, the ones up there now on the "6 ways to save" are about 13.3%, not a whole lot to gain if I wait til next month, heck, it could go down. The radio is $650, so if the top end discount went up, it would help.

I've seen the discount percentage go higher than 15%. For example, there was a $25 off a $150 order offer in Jan.
One thing I discovered is there is a grace period on the offers. If you've started building an order and have already keyed in the offer code, they usually accept it on an order that's submitted within 2-3 days after the offer ended. This has always given me time to see next month's offers if I'm placing an order near the end of the month. I can't say if this is something that will keep happening or exactly how long the code is accepted, so don't get mad with me if it stops working.

We do have a tread on tower promo codes here...

I am not sure it is detailed enough to get a pattern from...

yeah they definitely have some kind of patern on their saving. I have bought a new 7c radio for $209 with the savings in December. they had a $25 rebate that I got from futaba for buying that radio, I also got a $25 promotional rebate at the time and because my order was so much I also got a $15 gift certificate for future tower orders . so when I got the radio the savings really added up and I got a really good value for the 7c radio with 4 s3004 servos.

I'm a member of the SSC. I've always saved more than the shipping charges with my membership.
I also buy items for friends. That way we get enough of an order to meet the $150 free shipping limit.
I have a spreadsheet saved in my computer. I've been tracking Towers' promotional sales offers for about 5 years now. I've got their pattern down pretty good and I know when to buy--most of the time.
It is true that the frequency and "generocity" of the promotional offers are closely related to the economy.

I'm not turning loose of my secrets. I've spent countless hours studying.
But, I do predict a spring/early summer blowout of kits and leftover building supplies. You just gotta be able to guess when the prices have fallen to the bottom
