Default Dave Patrick Ultimate Bipe??

A fellow club member gave me what I think is a D/P Ultimate Bipe. Did this plane ever come in a kit form?? ARC?? ARF?? It's covered in a red and silver,so I'm just thinking it was a kit and some have said that D/P never put out a kit for this plane, that it's probably a ARC...I'm needing the struts that go between the wings and have nothing to go by. Could someone please post a link of where I can get these struts..It's all I need to get this thing going again.
Appreciated
walt

Walt,
The D/P Ultimate is an ARF. Comes in 2 sizes but no red & silver scheme. The 120 size has a 60" wingspan. If your bipe has a 54" span it might be a Goldberg Ultimate.
D/P website is http://www.davepatrickmodels.com
Good luck.

I believe that at least in the beginning it was available as an ARC.

It still is available as an ARC. They don't sell a lot of them as ARC's so they are usually backordered. But I have to agree with what was said above, if it was 54" wingspan than it's probably the Goldberg Ultimate. As a side note, Dave Patrick aslo designed the Goldberg Ultimate before he went into business for himself.

Thanx a lot,
The span is 54 inches. I figured it was a kit or ARC being that it's red and silver. Is there something different from a Dave Patrick and a Goldberg so I know what I have??? I would think all Ultimate Bipe's have the same body style.Maybe just a little something is different tho'. Like I said. All I need is the struts. I just wondering where I can get them and have them fit rite....
Thanx again
walt

Walt,
If the span is 54" it's not a DP. The DP has 4 aileron servos while the Goldberg has one (using bell cranks) or 2.
The interplane struts for the Goldberg are die cut lite ply plus die cut balsa. I might be able to send you a copy of the GB plans showing the struts if you like.

Thanx Ray,
I'll go for that...After your explanation it's not a D/P...There are four ailerons. The top ailerons are connected to the bottom ailerons by a heavy music wire and the servo's (2) are in the bottom wing. If you think it'll work just let me know how you want to handle it. I'll send you what you need for the plan and postage or whatever. Just let me know...I'll respond.....
Thanx again
Walt
PS:I have a small piece of a strut and yes, there is lite ply and balsa in there.
