Default Astro Hog Modification

Got an extra Astro Hog wing, already built with recommended dihederal, think 3 1/2 Inch. How feasible is it to cut the wing in half at the joint, cut out wing joiner-main spar and balsa and add new wing joiner-main spar and lower the dihederal so this thing won't float so much on landing? many thanks

Cutting it in half will be easy....inserting a wing joiner might be difficult at best.....I think adding some reflex to the ailerons might lessen the glide ratio.....sure would be easier than rejoing the wing halfs.

You are going to end up having to pretty much re-engineer/rebuild the wing root to accept the new joiner plate and remove the dihedral. It would probably be easier to just build a new wing without dihedral if you have the plans.
