Default MonoKote

Has anybody ever had a problem using old MonoKote?
I am almost ready to cover a Sr. Telemaster and I have some unopened MonoKote that I have been storing for about 5 years.

I don't think you'll have a problem. My LHS stocks the big rolls. He cuts off how many feet you need. I bought him out of his Metallic Green, which he told me doesn't sell that well, so I know he had it for a while. I'm guessing that he had it for at least 3 to 4 years. It went on fine.

Depending on the storage, One of are members used 21 year old monocote and said it worked just like brand new. Said it was in a dry outside storage shed for 21 years. That was 3 months ago with alot of flights.................no problem.............

it should be okay but when you start to cut it or bend it around curves and splits or cracks it has become unuseable.try it and see what happens

I recently used 15-year old Monokote on a plane I'm building. The backing was a problem--wouldn't lie flat--but the film was fine, stretched and shrunk like new.
