I have my 1st 4-stroke. O.S. 70 Surpass. I have it installed, glow plug in it, fuel lines hooked up, needle valve out 3 1/2 turns. It seems to have (very little) compression when I flip the prop on the 3rd flip. Is this normal?
The 1st 2nd flips have almost no compression!
Should I have a Lot of compression on my 3rd flip. All new and still inside my house.
please reply,
big dan

It's fine. Compression will come up some once it's broken in and the ring seats. Also, the compression will be very little if you are flipping it over with the throttle closed.
Just to be on the safe side, check the valve clearances. If they are tight your compression will be down.
