I thought for sure there was a dedicated site on RCU for questions about TX'S/RX'S, but cannot seem to find it, therefore, I'll ask it here:
I have a Futaba 7CAP TX, but don't like to use the "wall wart" charger. Is it possible to use a Hitec CG340 field charger to charge the battery thru an appropriate plug in the TX? How about a Hobbyco Accu-cycle (not set to cycle)? I know they have a resistor hooked to the charging jack in the TX. Is this going to interfere with charging? I know I can unplug the battery and charge it separately, but it would be much easier to charge that battery from the TX jack.
I also have a Hitec Flash V. Can I assume that the same advise could be used for that too?
Thanx for any advice.
Also, can I charge a NiMH TX battery thru this TX charging plug?

Hitec and Futaba use different sized connectors for the transmitter.
Futaba will go into Hitec, but Hitec won't go into Futaba.
The usual wal-wart will charge a Nimh battery pack.

If the charge lite lites up it will charge. Nicad and Nimh batts don't care what charger is being used so long as the voltage is correct. Same for tx's, they can be charged thru the charge jack but not discharged, they have to be disconnected and discharged seperatly. If the plug goes in and makes contact it will charge ok, even if not exactly the same. I interchange chargers and batterys all the time. The Accucycle will work ok for charging tx's but not discharging.
