Any ideas for purchasing a good neck strap for tx support? The ones that have come with my transmitters have been nearly useless. Perhaps my Futaba tx's have been on the cheap end of the scale.

The best neck strap I have found is a saxaphone strap that I picked up at a local music store. Very comfortable and a lot cheaper than any of the ones sold "in the hobby".

I use a Futabe strap. It was $10 at the LHS. It is comfortable,easy to clip on/off and easy to adjust.

How much was the sax strap from the music store, any recollection? Hobby shop??? Now why didn't I think of that, lol.

If I remember correctly it was $2.99. The thing I like about the sax strap it that the hook is open, so I don't have to squeeze a little "keeper" open to get the hook off of the radio.

It won't fall out because the weight of the radio is hanging on it.

gravity sucks for everything but this purpose.......LOL

I could think of many reasons that gravity doesn't suck. In fact, the only time that it does is when it reaches up, grabs my plane, and devours it! [X(]

And here I always thought the neck strap was to to keep a guy from throwing his radio across the field when you crash! I never ding dong thunk of it as anything but a transmitter anti-destruction device! Sometimes I wear one. I've crashed with it, and thrown my TX as hard as I could. It just wrapped the TX around until it impacted bona firma. Pointy suckers, they are. Dang pointy. *rubs forehead*

I need a helmet.
