The Fun One was a fantastic 40 sized aerobatic sport model sold by Great Planes some time ago, but like many Air Craft it fell out of fashion. [&o]
I still have one and it is in fine working form (thank you!)
But I am trying to find some details out on this old bird! They just don't seem to be available! [:@]
Can anyone tell me what the ideal flying weight of this AC is? Somewhere around 3 pounds if I recall. [
] and the CG is about 4.5" back from the LE?

From the old Tech Notes:
"The Fun-One is a aerobatic sport plane designed to be competitive at fun fly events even in the hands of average sport pilots. Its light weight permits fast climbs and long glides. Low wing loading enables trainer-like slow landings. Combination aileron/flap set-up great for use with the mixing capabilities of computer radio. High-quality balsa, ply, and basswoods hold up to the rigors of sport and fun flying.
The Fun One is ideal for use with flaperons, elevator/flap and aileron-rudder mixing, and other controls permitted by computer radios.
Wingspan: 53" CG: 7 3/8" FORWARD of TE of ailerons @ fuse (35%)
Wing Area: 558 sq in THROWS: elev: 1/2" up/down 3/8" up/down
Weight: 4-4.5 lbs. rudd: MAX AVAIL 1" L/R
Length: 42" ail: 3/4" up/down 1/2" up/down
Requires:2-stroke .25-.46 or 4-stroke .40-.48 engine, and a 4-5 channel radio."
