CG Tiger 60
Hi all;
Looks like my Tiger 60 ARF is heavy. I have an OS 61FX on it and it's loagy. Do you thing going to a Tower 75 will help? The problem isn't full throttle, it's lower throttle settings, it seems to want to fall out of the sky in turns. The reviews seem to indicate the airplane is pretty good. I did have to add considerable nose weight to balance.
Thanks!

G'day Mate,
If your problem is not power related, no point putting a bigger engine on it.
Have you trimmed it?, how does it fly inverted?, it may be NOSE heavy, if a lot of DOWN elevator is required, what prop are you using?, it may need a bigger prop, I use a 12x8, on my Diabolo, & a 13x6 on my yak, with the OS 61FX.
When you say it wants to fall out of the sky, is it flying fast enough in the turns? you may need to bank less &/or use more elevator, which mean NOSE heavy rather than tail heavy.
Lots of questions, ya see more info needed.

RE: CG Tiger 60
A good test is to do a spin (Or, if you're not capable, have a more advanced flier do it for you)
If the plane spins well, you're not too nose heavy (It may still be SLIGHTLY nose heavy, but not too bad)
But if the plane just spirals down instead of spinning, it's definitely nose heavy - REGARDLESS of what the instructions say.
Shift or add weight to make slight CG changes and repeat the test until it spins nicely, or until it flies the way you like
PS, I'm another who says that the Tiger is one of the best airplanes out there!
