Hi, I would like to add a small camera to one of my rc models. Probably a tank or an airplane. So, i'm guessing this would be something like a spycam, small and light enough to attach. I've looked at some cameras like this, and everywhere it says there is a range, something like 300 to 500 ft. So, my question is, is the range meaning that whatever i connect my camera to, it will only receive within that range. For example, if my model goes out of that range, the device that receives the image will not recieve it anymore? Is this how it works?
Thanks,
Magia

youre talking about remote video. yes you will lose ure video feed if you go out of range. the cheapest way to go is to get a small video camera. http://www.flycamone.com/
what they mean is you can actually watch video of youre plane as its flying from a reciever on the ground. the camera onboard has a transmitter that transmits to the reciever on the ground and puts it on a monitor on the ground. Depending on wat video sytem it is there is a specified range of how far that little camera on your plane can transmit. most video systems that are out there for rc planes have a greater range than the actual controller(transmitter) the system youre talking about is a cheap spy type camera thats not intended for long distances. more for like a this room to that room. These systems can get very expensive! Now- you can do that or like i said attach an actual mini camera or camcorder and just watch the video wen ure done flying. its cheaper and more fun if you ask me. i also got a disposable video camera from cvs and velcroed it to my plane. check it out http://www.rcuvideos.com/item/8QTNQ0B9V5NQV8KF
or............ check out the video where the camera actually fell off and survived. you can make these same videos! let me know if you need more help, camera falls off- http://www.rcuvideos.com/item/RFFWXZF4NKBHXZ6R
