setting up 2 servos for rudder and elevator in 9c radio
Hello everyone I have a couple questions... I just got a 1/3 sukhoi and it has 2 servos on each aileron, 2 on the rudder and 2 on the elevator. The plane was setup and flown on a JR radio but I have a futaba 9c. I actually have a 9ca, 9ch or 9ch super, which one should I use? My next question is, what is the best way to set it up to use dual rudder servos and dual elevator servos? As for the ailerons, the plane has 2 JR servo match boxes (one for each wing) that I can setup using the flaperons feature. It also has a smoke system that needs a channel... And of course has 1 throttle servo..
Can someone take the time to explain the best way to set all this up?
thanks

For the rudder. Three ways come to mind. Assuming the two servos are ganged up. One is to use another match box. Or you could use a Y harness. The third way is it use a sepperate chanel for each servo and mix them together. The difficulty is you can run out of mixes. i use a knife adge mix and a flapperon mix on my 9C. These take up 4 mixes by themselves. If you don't care about these mixes then using two channels would be the way to go. this is also the way to do the Elev. Use a sepperate channel for each servo and mix them together. If you need help setting them up post back. I think I can walk you through it.

RE: setting up 2 servos for rudder and elevator in 9c radio
would this look right?
Channels
1/5&6 - Flaperons (dual ailerons with match boxes)
2/8 - Ailevator (dual elevators)(adjust ailerons movement to 0)
3 - throttle
4/7 - rudder- Ruder mater and slave rudder (or maybe aux 7?)
9 - smoke - do offset with the throttle of 100% when switch is on?
Am I close?

I think your in the ball park. I don't think you need 3 different channels for the aile. You should just be able to use ch 1&6 for the ailerons. One box plugged into each. On the rudder I guess you could mix it to it's self. i think I would mix the rudder to AUX 7 like you said. Just mix it 100% with the link and trim ON.

RE: setting up 2 servos for rudder and elevator in 9c radio
Hi everyone I get a YAK-54 35% couple of months ago, I have the same issue that fliggyg in 07, I dont know how to link a dual rudder servos that came with it, I have a Futaba 9C transmitter and a 9 channel JR 921receiver, the system is binding with no issue, I'm having problems trying to set thedual rudder, i forget to add that plane came with smart fly sport adjustable reg and smart fly sport power expander
In the original setting one rudder servo is at the rudder channel ( port D at power expander )
second rudder servo is at channel 3 ( port H at power expander )
dont know what to do is my first giant gas plane
thanks

for the elevator due a master to slave mix and don't forget to add link to the mix so that trim will work. might also need to mix negative because of opposite rotation of servos on different sides
