Default Y servo reverse problem

Hi fellows

This is Angel from Spain and I have a problem with the deflection of my yak 54 elevator. This consists of 2 half-elevators each one actuated by one servo.
I am using a Futaba T6EX 2.4 Ghz, and since it is unable to actuate both in the same direction, I had to put a Y lead with servo reverser. (Ripmax P-XTRA-2052)
The problem is that the two halves do not experience the same deflection(1 goes up and down more than the other).
Both arms and rods measure the same. The quick links and clevis all same length.
I tried both 4 or 5 elements batteries ... same problem.
I have tested both with servos Hitec, as Futabas ... same thing.

I would appreciate any ideas

Greetings

If you are fortunate enough to be using digital Hitec servos, then use the Hitec Servo Programmer to set the direction and throw of the servos. Of course, then you will no longer need the "reverser". http://www.downonthedeck.com/ has a nice instructional video on how to set up dual elevator (and aileron) servos.

I had read abotu this a while ago apparently servos dont travel the same number of degress in both directions and because your reversion wiht a reversing Y you run into that problem.... possible tonning down your rates may help but im not sure.

Have you checked to make sure that the individual servos actually move the same when powered without the Y? Component tolerance inside the servos themselves may be causing the problem. Interchange the servos and see if the problem follows the servo.

The JR MatchBox is an additional option. http://www.troybuiltmodels.com/ServoProg.htm

When I have that type of configuration, I reverse one of the servos to eliminate the reversing Y. On one side the output shaft will be closest to the rear of the plane, on the other side it will be furthest from the rear of the plane. You will need push rods of different lengths, but push rods are a lot less money than a Y servo reverser.

You will need to have the servos out of the plane and attach some long arms to the servos. The check them for deflection. You may need to swap out several servos to find 2 with the exact same deflection.

Hi everybody, thanks for the ideas, but I have additional problems...both servos are INSIDE the elevator.

Anybody know if you can simply reverse some wires inside the servo and how?

Thanks

Reversing wires on the potentiometer (spelling ? ) is not suggested/recommended, and in any case the servos will have to come out to be disassembled.
