Default servo reversion

Hi everybody:

I have seen some pictures showing how to reverse a servo, just inverting 2 pairs of wires (one pair to the potentiometer, and the other to the motor).

Unfortunately I have a Futaba 3010, with no wires, but rather all connections are soldered to a circuit.

Will be safe for the servo, just to remove both the motor connections and the potentiometer and reconnect them inverted?

Thanks in advance.

not a good idea, why not use a futaba on one side and a hitec on the other as hitec is reverse rotation of futaba.

I have done it on several Hitec servos with out a problem,,,But it could be considered a gamble by some. I don't think mixing brands that control your control surfaces is a very good idea as you might run into transit time and torque differences. If your running two servos on your elevator's for example.

You can also moun one servo with the post toward the rear of the plane and on the otherside put the post furtherst from the rear of the plane. It will require push rods of unequal length, however you do not need a servo reversing Y and you don't have to worry about different brands of servos on the control surface.
