Default Winter time building

Well now that it's winter time whats everybody going to build?
Myself? Im going to build a Carl Goldberg Tiger 60. Been wanting to buld it and see what it can do. I think I'll put a OS75 in it.
So lets here what you all are building this winter.

I'm finishing up my Top Flite Corsair. I'm also playing with building a new Tiger 60 to replace the one I crashed a couple months ago. However, I'm thinking of doing it from scratch and modifying the design enough to fiberglass it.

If I ever get my lazy rear end in gear I am going to finish a Great Planes Corsair.
There are several kits in-waiting .... I am leaning towards giving the building table to the 60 size Uproar next.

I finished a 4 * .60 2 weeks ago and started to build a SlowPoke , and am close to covering it

Started a Corsair .60 last year got everything done but the wing. Finally got the retracts and the engine for it .One of these days ,

After the SlowPoke I have a Sig SSE , Greatplanes Ultrasport .60 and a Goldberg Sukhoi .90 and well probably build the Sukhio next .
I`ve only been flying a year and would like to get into pattern flying and think this would be the best plane for it , out of the other planes I have.

Also have a Greatplanes Ultimate Bipe .40 that needs the upper wing finished . It`s been my problem child, and I have to much time in it , not to finish it. Hope to finish it this winter , but not going to worry about it ,if it doesnt get done.

Winter? It was only 28 the other morning out at our field (I like to get there early...), that's not so bad. Not compared to the guys in the north and northeast anyhow. A little ice here and there doesn't hinder flying much. Plus, we have a wood stove. Of course the fog and rain are another story. So much for flying this weekend, have you seen the weather report?

Actually, I am going to build something. I just finished a Super Sportster 60. I plan on ordering an Ultra Sport 40 before they are all gone and a Slowpoke.

You'll like that OS .75 in your Tiger-2. I have one in my SS-60 and it's probably the best engine I have owned.

I don't see too many FRM members on here, especially that actually build any more. Have I met you before?

You sure have, I fly with you once in a while, mostley on Mondays and Thursday,I'll keep you guessing who i am,lol
Oh yes, thank goodness for the wood burning stove.Be lost without it.
Look for the blue and white 4*60 thats the plane i fly most.
Doggie i have a Great Planes Ultimite 40 also with a Saito 65 not bad combo could use a OS-70 would be a better choice though.

'07 was a tough year for me - 3 crashes, 1 recovery - Someone told me that might be a new club record I have a CAP 232 - 15 that should look good with a four stroke hanging out front - just not sure what size motor for a 36" wing span and 2.5 lbs plane. I also have a Thunder Tiger Giles 202 140 that greets me each time I enter the workshop. Hmmm....... with 3 crashes under my belt.....hmmmm.....I wonder - maybe i should get another one - just in case.

Original message had a Tensor 4D listed - I have since decided to sell it in order to fund the engine needed for the Cap 232-15.

3 in one year a club record? First year I started 3D I went thru one a month! Cheap ARFs, but I wouldn't even wait to crash one before starting the next one. I piled up 4 UCDs that year alone. I was just too stubborn to keep them 1 or 2 mistakes high. Since going to pattern I've only lost 2 in the last year and half, and one was a failed regulator.
I've got a Big Dirty Birdi 2+2 on the table right now, Curare short kit & super decathlon lined up next. The Super D is 84" and I have a G38 for it. I intend for it to be my float plane.

It took my builder two winters to frame up my Stuka. Now, I'm on my second winter, adding details, painting etc...

I'm hopefully going to get my .60 top flite p-47 framed up and sheeted over this winter. Started it over the summer and now have the top of the fuselage done and am framing up the bottom.

TL - that's a cool plane! Also - your cradle design is clever. Has anyone started an official thread covering the multiple use pvc pipe offers?

I have a 1/6 scale WACo YMF-3 under construction. Also an AT-6 ARF that needs completion. I recently moved my home workshop to the garage and converted the former basement workshop space into a strictly model building workshop, with all the appropriately sized power and hand tools.
