charging fieldbox battery issue
hello,
im trying to charge the inner 12v 4.5Amp battery.
and after 24 hours of charging.
the charging alligators are connected to the starter jack i'm pressing test - all lights are on
removing the alligators only first red light is on.
i tested the charger it shows more then 12v
testing the starter jack it shows less then 6v
i charged this battery in the past (at least i think i did [:-]) used this battery less the 4 days of flying...
does this means my battery is dead???
Thanks
Alex

RE: charging fieldbox battery issue
well, if when your alligaters are connector nd cgarger is pluged in, it will show all lights, mine does, and when you take em off it shows one because the battery is low I suppose, those little batteries suck, Mine last a year and I keep them inside, charge sow with reccomened charger, there just cheap, I only payed $12 for mine so I don't mind just a year of use, I use it alot though. So I suppose try charging more,. I don't know, im not battery expert maybe someone else wil say different, but charging shouldnt hurt is its not lighting lights.

RE: charging fieldbox battery issue
Normally a 12v charger when connected and charging is up around 14 volts and the battery after a charge should be around 12.5volts or better. Do you have a volt meter you can connect directly to the battery terminals? That would tell you if the battery is good/bad. If good, then your power panel is somehow messed up.
