thunder tiger pro 40 engine fuel
I'm a new pilot. I would appreciate some advice about fueling and brake in for this engine. The engine will be flown in a skyrider mach II. I have 5 gallons of 10% Nitro full syn coolpower to burn. Aparently, TT recommennds fuel with castor. Will I be ok/safe using the coolpower syn 10% to brake in and use for training? Thanks in advance for some help.

You will be fine just follow normal break in protocol and keep things greasy rich for a little while. I used synth for my first q500 engine cause that is what is normally run at the race but prefer a castor blend for everyday flying and use it now and just run the synth on race day.
Without getting into all the debate about having castor in fuel, I prefer to use it and think it makes for a little tighter of an engine over the long run.

Thanks for the comment. Initally I will use the plane for basic acrobatic training. I've been training on a LT-40 for a a couple of months. Maybe in the future Pylon racing would be fun to try. Do you fly this plane (SKYRaider M II)?
