Default Long Leads

What do the ferrite coils on extra long leads do. The leads I am looking at are 40" long and wondering if I should run the coils on them.

Cheers

The ferrite beads are used to cut down on wire noise, which in turn helps with cutting down on interference. Good Luck, Dave
