they were around in the 80's.If I remember right they were introducing a line of arf that had the engine, tank and radio equipment mounted on a single sliding tray.you could remove it in a few minutes and slide it into the next model and be all set to fly with out having to buy engine and radio

I beleve the airplanes with the sliding electronics and engine package trays were Aircore.
Flitercraft had a low wing (cheokee wannabe) and a high wing (cessna wanna be) Both flew OK on a twentyfive. They did tend to be heavy and the plastic was not very durable with cracking commonplace but they were acceptable for therir time.

Flitecraft made at least two low wing areobats. One, the Arrow; was like a Cherokee, as mentioned earlier. The other, the Shadow, was more like an Extra 300 in looks. Their high wing 'Trainer' was the Cardinal. My brother built and flew alot of Flitecraft models in the 80's.

Howdy Dave, I think the one I have is the Arrow. I have a older K&B .40 that I will try on it at a later date. (too many planes and not enough days) [&o] >>>-> Bassfish

Flite craft also made an Extra 300. Their last planes manufactured signature was "Open the Door " there was a hatch or door that you opened and all the linkage was installed. plastic servo mounts installed. fuel tank ready. basically add electronics engine and fly. Their operation was somewhere in Kansas. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_17.../anchor/tm.htm check out this link

[sm=teeth_smile.gif] Thank you Daloyn! The link was most interesting, and I now hold a peice of history! I was going to fly the plane , but with my limited flying skills (very rusty) I feel that someone with better expertise should have it. I'm thinking of putting it in the classfide section. >>>-> Bassfish
