Default Prop Conversion?

Does anyione have a chart to convert a 2 blade (apc 13 x 8) to a three blade (perferably apc) prop?

Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Curt

I don't know of any chart, but the general rule is to drop back one inch in diameter and add one to the pitch......

Tailskid,
Doesn't that rule apply when changing sizes between two bladed props?

I'd always heard that to convert from 2 to 3 blades you only drop an inch in diameter. (ie. 2 blade 13 X 8 = 3 blade 12 X 8.)

The real rule for equivalent power is to reduce the prop diameter by 10% and leave pitch alone.

By a bit of good luck 10% = 1 inch for the most common 10/11" props.

Generally you can't do it very accurately because there is only a limited range of 3-blade props available. In this case 11.5 x 8 would be about ideal, if you could find one.
