I think your expectations for a reply from a Hitec rep are too high. If the RCU time stamps are correct:

If any of the Hitec reps do read the "Questions & Answers" forum, they probably do it during regular business hours.
If you just want flaps and ailerons, plug flaps into 6 and ailerons into 1.
If you're trying to have the flaps and ailerons coupled for 'full span' ailerons, plus separate flaps, I think you need at least 7 channels and multiple mixes.
2 aileron
2 flap
1 elevator
1 rudder
1 throttle

thank you for your advice.
I won't be changing radios.
The 5 slot will give me on or off. I don't have retracts so this slot is open.
I have a "y" on aileron servos plugged into slot 1.
Is this all I can do with the Optic 6?
