Default CA & Accelerator Storage

I was told by my fav LHS and building mentor that storing CA accelerator and CA near each other will hasten the deterioration of the CA. The fumes are the culprit.

How many of us store our accelerator adjacent to the CA?

Fume contamiation seems unlikely in closed containers. I store mine in cool, dry, low light location and next to each other.

What ever . . . . Don't put it in You kitchen freezer!

The cold temp allows the thin CA fumes to leak out of the bottle and they accumulate on the ice in the ice maker, reforming as a white dust.

Doesn't sound very healthy does it?

I keep my accelerator in a zip loc bag and pin it to the wall, and it's probably a couple feet away from the glue.
I've had accelerator evaporate on me when in the spritzer bottle, so that's the reason for the zip loc bag.

For long term storage, it goes in the fridge, (not freezer ) also in a bag.

NEVER! You might get away with it if each is stored in a zip lock bag. I try to use accelerator as little as possible because I'm fairly convinced it weakens the joint.
