Default On-board Starter

Does anyone use a On-board starter if so how do you like it. I'm thinking of putting one a Hanger 9 Cessna 182 I don't about how much room i'll need and if it will work.Thanks

Are you asking about a true on board starter that you flip a switch and it starts the engine for you or are you asking about an on board glow driver system?

I think Sullivan made an onboard starter (an actual starter motor/generator combo I believe.)

It's been several years since I've seen it. I'm not sure what motor you're thinking about using but if I remember correctly, you'll need a modified backplate....not to mention the firewall work you'll have to do.

I'm talking about an on board starter not glow driver. I'm going to use a Zenoah G26. Thanks I will check the web site
