Default Locktite CA Question

Has anyone used Locktite brand CA for balsa construction or repair? I'm thinking of their 'liquid' CA. Is this stuff thin enough to wick into balsa? I've got some moving damaged planes to fix and the last thin CA I bought at the LHS (20 miles away) has plasticized too much to be of any use [:'(]. Home Depot carries the Locktite line of adhesives and it's LOTS closer.

Thanks,

John C

I have built entire airplanes with it and like it a lot. Gorilla glue also has a ca type glue that I have used . I like both but I especially like Locktite.

Thanks Steve. By the way, I've moved from SC to CO so didn't get to see you at a Dawn Patrol fly in in IN. Good times back in Newbern and at CERALand.

Damn, John C.

I didn't make the connection! Wow, good to hear from you, apparently all is well. I was talking about you the other day, I had a guy ask about an RC Nobler. Remember the day your battery came out in the loop???

Glad to see you are still modeling. Stay well

The locktite seems to be somewhere between the thin and thick we get from the hobby shop. I built a 1/3 N-17 with it. Good stuff!

Snuck up on you, didn't I . Yep, I remember the RC Nobler. It wasn't the greatest flier, but with present day equipment at least there would be some room in the fuselage for the gear. I had forgotten about the battery falling out .

Sounds like the Locktite CA won't work for what I need though as I'm trying to fix broken balsa under Monokote by wicking in CA to fix the broken bits.

Regards,

John C
