Default Remote Glow grounding help

For some reason, I cannot get my remote glow to ground on the motor or motor bolts. I have a Saito GK and Im wondering what I need to do? buff paint off top and bottom of bolt on motor mounts?

I suppose a painted engine case could cause enough of a voltage drop to create problems with the remote glow. You can scuff off a little paint where the ground terminal goes. You might also try a serrated washer; it will bite into the metal and help with the connection.
