Would a 2150kv motor work ok with a 90a esc?

It's a stretch, but it might. Depends on the ESC in question and the motor in question, to be honest.

It would be the stock hong nor esc that came with the lx2e and a tacon 2150kv brushless motor

Should be ok, but don't run it on grass or anything until you've checked temps and stuff after a pack on the street or two.
